[...] Meus trabalhos até então eram feitos sempre a partir da mesma massa de tinta que, revolvida e organizada através de poucas operações, produziu variações infinitas durante quase vinte anos. A partir mais ou menos de 2014, o uso da tinta preta como vinha fazendo desde 1997, já bastante consolidado e dominado, me levou a me arriscar em nova aventura. Após um período de experimentação, acabei chegando a pinturas com dois tipos de matéria, uma com a tinta densa e texturada como fazia antes, outra com uma segunda cor, diluída. [...]
[...] My works until then were always made from the same mass of paint that, turned and organized through few operations, produced infinite variations for almost twenty years. From about 2014 onwards, the use of black paint as I had been doing since 1997, already well consolidated and dominated, led me to take a chance on a new adventure. After a period of experimentation, I ended up arriving at paintings with two types of material, one with the dense and textured paint as I did before, the other with a second, diluted color. [...]
